Brite Solar develops advanced PV panels specifically designed to meet the needs of greenhouse horticulture, enhancing energy efficiency and crop protection.

With a strong background in nanomaterials and deposition techniques for glass substrates, we have been working in additional PV solutions for open-field crops, as well as on energy saving solutions for the built environment. Brite’s strategic goal and commitment is to understand the needs of current and future customers so as to meet their requirements and even exceed their expectations.

  • Promotes the use of a process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Sets quality objectives and targets that are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the Company and provides all the resources needed for the effective QMS implementation including training, support, and encouragement.
  • Communicates the importance of effective quality management implementation and encourages, engages, and supports all personnel’s contribution to the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the QMS.
  • Routinely monitors, assesses, evaluates, and reports performance in key activities and uses the data collected to make informed and effective decisions on how to improve its processes.
  • Reviews on an annual basis the effectiveness of the QMS on Indicators and Objectives and the Quality Policy itself, in order to achieve continuous improvement in its performance.

Nick Kanopoulos has many years of experience in creating and managing large teams of development, mass production, and marketing of semiconductor products for the global market.
He was Managing Director for Channel Development in Europe / Africa / Middle East for the Solar Business Unit of Applied Materials.
He was Director of the Multimedia & Communications (MMC) business division of Atmel Corp. managing product development groups based in the U.S., Greece, Sweden and China.
He was founder and CEO of Data Communications Technologies, which was acquired by Atmel, Director of the Integrated Electronics Group at RTI International (one of the largest independent research centers in the U.S.)
for 10 years adjunct professor at Duke University in North Carolina.
He has been a special advisor to the Minister of Macedonia & Thrace in Greece for matters of technology and to various semiconductor companies.
He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece and holds MS and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University.
He has published one book and over 100 papers in journals and conference proceedings, has six patents (issued and pending) and is a member of several international trade and scientific organizations.

Kostis A. Tselenis

Kostis is a pioneering investor who has helped shape the sustainability and impact investing landscape in Europe. In the last 20 years, he has managed large-scale portfolios across direct investments and funds, spanning venture capital, private equity, and project finance. He has addressed major impact themes, including energy transition, the circular economy, nature finance, and access to finance, in both developed and developing countries. His track record includes leadership roles in pioneering financial institutions and investment platforms.

He is the Managing Partner of the Swiss Impact Office, an investment manager and multi-family office based in Zurich, allocating private and institutional capital into financially performing portfolios aligned with environmental and social goals.

Kostis also founded and chairs the Hellenic Impact Investing Network HIIN, Greece’s official National Platform, which has played a catalytic role in building the regional ecosystem. HIIN’s mission is to mobilize capital for sustainability and social impact, with financial innovation, education and awareness.

A frequent speaker at international conferences, he has also lectured at leading universities across Europe and authored articles and publications. He holds a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Zurich and was inspired to follow the sustainability path through early involvement in his family’s business, a pioneer in sustainable and ethical cosmetics.

He previously served as CTO, CEO, and Executive Chairman of Nasdaq-listed DSL pioneer Aware Inc., and founded audio software provider accusonus Inc., acquired by Meta in 2022. Michael holds electrical engineering degrees from the University of Patras, Greece, the University of Michigan (MS), and Tufts University (PhD).

Stephan has spent one and half decades in the financial industry. After starting off in commercial banking, he joined the European Investment Bank 9 years ago. During his first years he worked on corporate finance solutions for mid- and large cap corporates in Central and Northern Europe, most recently serving as key responsible for the German-speaking automotive and semiconductor sector. For the past two years, he has been working as an Advisor to the EIC Fund, focussing on semiconductor and quantum technology investments.
Stephan holds a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from Maastricht University and is a CFA charterholder.

Dr. Tassos Markas has over 25 years of experience in the technology and semiconductor arenas. In 2009 he founded 3DMedia, which is developing leading - edge technologies to create, view, and distribute 3D content. Prior to 3DMedia, Tassos was Managing Director of Multimedia Products at Insilica, responsible for the development of integrated circuits, software, and systems for emerging multimedia markets. Before joining Insilica, Tassos served as Multimedia Director at Atmel, where he was responsible for all multimedia IC products including digital cameras, HDTVs, set-top boxes, and mobile phones. In 1995, he co-founded and directed the engineering division of Data Communications Technologies, a start-up company that was eventually sold to Atmel. Throughout his career, Tassos has been involved at all levels of the product cycle, including business development, marketing, sales, product development, research, and logistics. Tassos holds PhD and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in Durham, NC, as well as a BS degree in Physics from University of Athens in Athens, Greece.

Theodore Kiakidis is one of the founding partners of New Energy Partners, a fund specializing in investments in the broader energy transition space, since 2021.
He previously spent 23 years with Global Finance, a leading regional private equity firm, originating, executing, monitoring, and exiting investments in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.
He has also spent four years in Romania, where he established First Southeast Investment Partners, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on helping local companies and entrepreneurs raise capital, and on supporting Greek companies as they entered the Romanian market.
He started his career in management consulting in Paris, and holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Georgetown University, and an M.A. in International Trade and Finance from Harvard University.

At Brite Solar, he leads the company’s financial strategy, investment planning, and performance management, supporting its expansion and the scaling of its high-tech manufacturing operations in Greece and abroad.

He holds an MSc in Business Economics from the University of Portsmouth.

Professor Elias Stathatos was born in Patras, Greece. He obtained his first degree in Physics from University of Patras and then his Ph.D. degree from Engineering Science Department also at University of Patras. Professor Stathatos is currently at the Technological-Educational Institute of Western Greece and Head of the Nanotechnology and Solar applications laboratory. He has more than 85 publications in peer reviewed journals, 50 proceedings papers and 4 book chapters which are recognized of more than 3500 citations. He is also co-investigator of four patents related to solar energy technology and he is member of numerous societies. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Advanced Oxidation Technologies, International Journal of Photoenergy and Materials Science in Semiconductor Processing. His research interests include conversion of solar into electrical energy using dye-sensitized solar cells and polymer solar cells. Other areas of his research interests are electroluminescent devices, luminescence properties of organic-inorganic composite materials and photocatalytic destruction of organic pollutants over semiconductor nanoparticles.

Brings 20-years of experience as an entrepreneur in renewable energy business and 15 years of experience in international research. She has founded and co-founded 3 companies dealing with solar energy in Greece. Dr. Papalexiou was also the president of the “Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies” for five consecutive years, and she's often invited to speak at conferences for the solar energy sector.
